The Communication and Media Studies Laboratory at Abdelhamid Ben Badis University – Mostaganem, Algeria, is organizing a national forum on the occasion of World Day for Freedom of Expression and Press on May 3 and 4, 2018, entitled: “Economic Journalism and Development Prospects.” The academic event attempts to touch upon the reality of economic journalism, the forms of press coverage of its topics, and the commonalities that unite the economics/journalism equation. It also addresses economics as a subject of journalism/economic journalistic writing and its types, economic development projects as reflected in the press, and professional standards for electronic journalism workers. The event raises the reality of electronic economic journalism, the treatment of economic topics on social media sites, and the future prospects of economic journalism. The organizing body has set the deadline for receiving the participation proposal on April 29, 2018, and it will receive entries via email: [email protected].
