The Global Campaign to Return to Palestine announced, on behalf of all its members in about eighty countries around the world, the launch of the project (2021, the Year of Confronting Normalization), in the name of the Palestinian, Arab, Islamic, and international associations and civil organizations that believe in Palestinian rights, and which announced their participation in the programs of (2021, the Year of Confronting Normalization), under the title: Peoples Against Normalization. During an international meeting organized by the campaign in the Gaza Strip, Monday, January 18, digitally, it confirmed that the hectic betrayal operations that escalated during the year 2020, in the name of normalizing relations with the occupying entity, is a path determined and directed by the United States in accordance with the interests of the Zionist entity, and that peace and the interest of the Palestinian cause have absolutely nothing to do with it. Participating international and Arab figures include: Mahathir Mohamad, former Malaysian Prime Minister, Elida Guevara, daughter of international activist Che Guevara from Cuba, South African activist Mandla Mandela, grandson of South African leader Nelson Mandela, from South Africa, former representative in the Tunisian Parliament Mubarakah Al-Brahmi, Kuwaiti researcher specializing in the Arab-Israeli conflict Abdullah Al-Moussawi, and journalist Ammar Muhammad Adam from Sudan. The campaign stressed that confronting normalization is a general responsibility, involving all segments of the nation, and carried out by intellectuals, clerics, media figures, writers, artists, teachers, individuals and institutions, and every person capable of expression, each in his field, pointing out that the magnitude of this responsibility requires everyone to cooperate and coordinate, joint planning, and unity of principles and goals. She said, in the closing statement, that in appreciation of the great steadfastness and great sacrifices made by the Palestinian people, and in fulfillment of some duty in confronting projects to betray the nation and rob it of its will, the campaign, in partnership with dozens of civil institutions and hundreds of activists spread in 80 countries around the world, declares “2021 the year of confronting normalization” under the slogan: Peoples against normalization. The campaign explained that it is working in consultation and coordination with the participating figures, to present a comprehensive program of activities to confront normalization, covering the entire year 2021, and includes the countries, associations and organizations participating in these events, and the campaign will bear the task of coordinating the program and schedule of activities among the participating countries, members and activists. The campaign indicated that “the participants are working to activate the work of anti-normalization associations and normalization observatories, each in their country, or working to establish such observatories and associations in countries where they do not exist,” calling on all believers in Palestine and those working to achieve justice in it. To join this initiative. The global campaign also called for providing it with suggestions and observations that would develop the work and achieve the desired goals. She stressed that she is certain that this year, if we invest it well and work in it, will not be a year that will pass, but rather it will be a decisive factor that will lead to overthrowing the effects of the normalization project, thwart the machinations of the occupation and its largest supporter, the United States, and contribute to strengthening the just front that believes in the Palestinian cause and the defense of the rights of the Palestinians.
