The British capital, London, hosted the third annual conference for British Muslims under the title “Our Mosque, Our Future,” which lasted from the 27th of last November until the 29th of the same month, to discuss the role and function of the mosque via virtual space, with the participation of a group of Muslim experts, in light of the French attack on Islam and the Prophet. The conference has been organized by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) since 2018 under several titles, including “More than a Climate for Worship” and “Our Youth, Our Future,” and it is attended every year by British Muslim notables and symbols. During its conference in the past two years, the Council has hosted more than 1,200 mosque officials and Islamic activists. The year’s event will host a range of Islamic speakers and activists, including Obaid Khan, Sufi Alam, Ishaq Just and Ayub Seidat, and speakers will discuss topics such as “Delivering Mosque Services Digitally,” “Leadership in Crises,” and “Mental Health and COVID-19.” The year’s conference included 10 free virtual sessions. Its main purpose is to promote cooperation, sympathy and unity of Muslims in Britain, according to the conference agenda.
