The ArabNet Conference concluded its tenth conference with the attendance of more than 3,500 entrepreneurs and investors interested in the digital world, to discuss awareness of the importance of the digital world and startup companies, and the importance of the relationship between these companies and investors. The attendees of the conference, which was held by the Lebanese technical platform “ArabNet”, confirmed in the closing statement that the digital sector has transformed significantly in the past ten years. Participants mentioned that in 2010, Yahoo acquired the Maktoob website, but at that time even Uber did not exist. At that time, less than 10 investment funds in emerging companies existed, but today there are more than 200 interested parties. “It plays a very important role in supporting the sector and small enterprises, and the issue has become vital for countries and includes more than one sovereign party.”
